The Fordham Urban Law Journal Alumni Association (FULJAA) enables Journal Alumni to stay in touch with and support the ULJ’s current editors and staff. Each year, the FULJAA joins current Journal students for a mixer in the fall, and the Alumni Banquet in the spring. Each of the three awards that the FULJAA presents annually are given out at the Banquet. In addition, the FULJAA provides student outreach, such as the annual OCI Panel at which various FULJAA members provide advice and answer questions from second-year law students regarding the process of interviewing for and landing a job.
Membership in FULJAA is $30 per year. Your dues support the fellowship fund and banquet.

The Lefkowitz Award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the law as it affects urban communities. The award is given in the spirit of Louis J. Lefkowitz, who served as New York Attorney General for almost twenty-two years. A comprehensive list of Lefkowitz award recipients can be found on our Wikipedia page.
The FULJAA Fellowship is awarded to one second year day or third year night ULJ staff member who chooses to pursue a summer internship (8-10 weeks, min. 35 hrs a week) that promotes, serves, or furthers the diverse urban interests of New York City. Applicants are permitted to receive a stipend or other fellowship in addition to this fellowship. The FULJAA Fellowship is in the amount of $2,500.
The FULJAA Student Note Award is awarded to the ULJ member who publishes the most outstanding student note. The student notes to be published in each ULJ volume are reviewed by a committee of FULJAA members and the award is announced at the annual Alumni banquet.
